179; sentosa (s'pore) today and orchard yesterday
Saturday, August 20, 2005

for the benefit of those reading my blog from other countries and not aware of a huge wonderful attraction in singapore, that's why i have stated orchard and sentosa bracketed singapore. ahahas. i do seem like a model geography elective student who is promoting locations in a country to others.

please applaud me! thank you. thank you.

as of now, i just came back from beaching and suntanning. with yanyi and samantha. oh and have i mentioned that the three of us have created a group? YAS. young and successful. cool right? it's just something that was what we created from yesterday's trip to orchard. but allow me to touch on today's highlights.

so, initially, jestyn was supposed to come, but his mother didnt allow him to, and being the mommy boy that he is, (kekex, i know that you are a super good boy, jestyn) he didnt come along. so sad but oh wells.

after my amaths remedial at school on relations and functions, i trudged down to jurong interchange as that was the meeting place for the three of us. and so when all have reached, we waited for the hellishly slow bus service 97 and headed for harbourfront. nothing much happened.

except.

that everyone was like being models and taking photos everywhere. snapping each other. our shoes, our hands, our watches, our bags. it's crazy. i dont know what would have happened if dearest jestyn came along. he would surely be at a loss for words. but i still missed his company. surely will laugh like hell.

but in a sense, he didnt miss much. the weather sucked. which totally destroyed our purpose of suntanning. what's more, the place was freaking packed, which gave us no choice but to head down to tanjong beach instead. it was beautiful despite it rained.

yanyi freaked me and sam out. she was there saying that she saw a human figure bobbing. initially it seemed as though she was true and the three of us were cowering as we did not want to see any arising zombies heading our way. anyway, the history of sentosa was a ghastly one. i'd know, since that was the highlight of all stories in my primary school malay textbooks.

but it turned out, as the weather cleared, it was a piece of wood. it uncannily resembled a human figure from afar, but of course we were glad that it wasnt that real after all.

in truth, weather freakingly sucked. rained, shone, rained shone. until we gave up and headed to bath and change. the toilets were already fixed as compared to last time when i was with jestyn, nicole and sarah. the door locks were repaired and so were the showers. so no more self-consciousness when bathing due to the initial fear that someone might burst into the cubicle.

that was rather too frank and crude now wasnt it?

so yeah. after the whole bathing thing that took quite some time. we then decided to head for siloso and eat at delifrance. but the whole place was like so damn packed, we decided to eat at harbourfront center instead. the journey there was torture. standing throughout. and the whole fact that we were suffering from depletion of low energy stocks didnt help.

ate at macdonalds. the previous users of the table sure didnt have table manners. i didnt know what the hell got into them. it's like, all the things were strewn onto the table till the point where i couldnt see the surface of the table. then when it was cleared and we were eating, we ate so primely.. really shows that we are young, successful as well as professional! =))

the whole yas thing is screwed in my head. and also, another thing is also screwed in my head. mariah carey's we belong together song is totally glued into my brain. from sentosa to now i have been either humming the tune or singing it. thank god i didnt do anything stupid like humming hideously in the bus on the way home like some retard or something.

so.. so..

after the whole eating thing, we went off our separate ways. now that's a boring way to end now isnt it?

okay. now to yesterday's event. orchard road.

so yesterday, i left earlier since i had to catch my friend with the whole epic that happened. but somehow things were cancelled so why not orchard? so yeapps. with that yanyi, samantha and i headed down there from school.

at first, samantha ticked me off since she totally didnt come to school when she said that she would. and it was so unfair that she could have those extra hours at home sleeping and i was in school, straining through physics. urghh. the thoughts give me the boils in my blood. but oh wells.

we first went to far east shopping center. very quiet and deserted. damn spooky actually. and samantha went there in her attempt to get her pay, but since it wasn't pay day, so she couldnt collect it yet.

we walked to pacific plaza and was just looking at all the range of bags at adidas and also in quiksilver. and it turned out that the bag that jestyn and i wanted were no longer there. so sad right? i knew that it might come to this, but i never thought it'd be so soon. but oh wells.

and i saw my ex. it was bad. no further comments.

so then, we went to far east plaza and shopped around. samantha got herself a billabong slipper which yanyi and i helped her choose. it was black with some curvey lines in the background of the billabong emblem. see i remembered it! see?

samantha was practically going into all those girly t-shirt shops and i was there just standing outside like a dope. it's stupid seriously. just standing and waiting. but oh wells. i promised that i will wait and they'll wait when i am looking for the bag.

after looking through everything in the plaza, we trudged down to wisma atria and i was pointing out how ironically all the names seem to synchronize in the sense that they are practically the same with a different few letters or something.

at flash and splash, i was looking through all the bags and didnt really see one nice one till yanyi pointed some out. and i chose one which was really nice! all black. my obssession with black needs to be psychiatrized somehow. and since nicole gladly told me that she wants to be a psychiatrist, she should help me!

lala. but i did get a shelling from jestyn for getting it cause it was rather ex. but it was the only nice one seriously! the others although suitable and all, looked hideous.

oh wells.

so after buying the bag, we took the underground and headed for takashimaya. where thoughts where me, cassandra and ak acted rich and went into all those classy boutiques came to mind again.

ate at macdonalds. took tonnes of photos. i realized that yas is hellishly established in the artwork of modelling. we were posing here and there, laughing our heads off at stupid poses, et cetra. man, we are good. wahahahs.

the funniest part.

we suddenly decided to play stupid and when we were going up the escalator, me, sam and yanyi stood in one line. meaning we squeezed into one panel of steps. and two ladies in front of us commented.

ladies: are you trying to get past us? or are you purposely choosing to be in that position?

sam and me: purposefully. (laughs)

lady x: wow. very together ah you three?

lady y: exactly. in this position, you should sing the national anthem and continue singing even though you reached the next floor. and block the passageway.

they said it in such a funny manner that we were in terrible fits of laughter from the mall to the bus stop. it was hilarious how they put us as. some marching contingent or something?

and somehow, we agreed that should be our motto of this wonderful manifesto of yas.

wahahas. i have blabbered long enough. cherrios.
